Eurocomp (Triple Healer)

Eurocomp is the definitive 5v5 strategy in TBC — named after the European teams that popularized it. Three healers (Shaman, Paladin, Priest) with a Warrior and Warlock as DPS. The concept is simple: you cannot be killed. Three healers make burst damage irrelevant, and the Warrior + Warlock provide enough sustained pressure to eventually kill through attrition. Bloodlust creates burst windows, Mana Burn drains the enemy, and the sheer healing throughput makes you a wall. Games go long, but you almost never lose.

General Strategy

Survive everything. Three healers means no burst comp can kill you. The Warrior trains a target with MS while the Warlock DoTs everything. Your win condition is the enemy team running out of mana or making a positioning mistake that gets someone killed. Bloodlust during coordinated goes for burst windows.

This comp is about patience and execution. You will not get fast kills. Games go 10-20 minutes. Your advantage is inevitability — you will eventually win the mana war because three healers sharing the healing load are more mana-efficient than the enemy's smaller healing core.

Team Roles

Warrior: MS uptime on the kill target. Call target swaps based on positioning. Intercept to close gaps. Peel for healers when melee trains them. Spell Reflect key spells. Pop Recklessness during Bloodlust windows.

Warlock: DoTs on everything — this is even more important in 5v5 where there are 5 targets to DoT. Curse of Tongues on enemy healers. Fear for CC. Felguard on Warrior's target. Soul Link for survivability. Drain Life for self-sustain.

Shaman: Bloodlust at the right moment. Earth Shield the Warrior. Purge enemy buffs aggressively. Wind Shear to interrupt heals. Tremor Totem for Fears. You are the utility healer — your role is Lust timing, Purging, and Wind Shear more than raw healing.

Paladin: Primary tank healer. Flash of Light spam on whoever is being trained. Blessing of Freedom on Warrior. Blessing of Sacrifice to split damage. Bubble as ultimate panic button. Cleanse CC off teammates. BoP to immune physical damage on a kill target.

Priest: Mana Burn the enemy healers. This is your primary job in 5v5. Between healing duties, burn enemy mana. Pain Suppression the kill target during enemy burst. Mass Dispel to strip Bubble, BoP, and Ice Block. Shield the Warrior before enemy goes.

Bloodlust Timing

Bloodlust is your burst window. Do NOT pop it at the start. Wait until: the enemy team has used major cooldowns, your Warrior has MS on the kill target, and your CC is ready. Then Lust + Warrior goes + Fear/Scream the healers. The 40-second Lust window with MS and DoTs is when kills happen.

Some teams save Lust for defensive — if the enemy pops all cooldowns for a go on your team, counter-Lust to outheal their burst. This wastes their offensive cooldowns while you heal for free.

Target Selection

In 5v5, target calling is the most important skill. Call targets based on who is out of position, who has used defensive cooldowns, or who is OOM. Common targets: enemy healers who overextend, DPS who are isolated from their healers, or whoever your Warrior can reach without overextending.

Swap targets frequently. 5v5 is not about tunneling one target — it is about pressuring different targets to force defensive cooldowns from multiple enemies, then going all-in when someone is naked.

Matchups

vs Melee Cleave (2 DPS / 3 Healer)

Mirror-ish. Both triple healer. Game comes down to mana management and target calling. Your Mana Burn gives an edge if they don't have a Priest. Very long games.

  • Mana Burn is your edge
  • Target calling decides
  • Very long games
  • Patience required
  • Better mana management wins

vs 3 DPS / 2 Healer

Favored. Their burst cannot kill through triple healer. Survive their cooldowns, then you win on sustain. Heal through everything and grind them down.

  • Triple healer survives burst
  • Survive cooldowns then win
  • Sustain advantage is massive
  • They run out of steam
  • Patient play

vs Caster Cleave

CC is annoying but your three healers dispel and heal through it. Purge + Cleanse aggressively. Warrior trains the squishiest caster. Long game favors you.

  • Three healers dispel CC
  • Purge + Cleanse aggressively
  • Train squishiest caster
  • Long game favors you
  • Healing throughput wins

vs 4 DPS Zerg

Heavily favored. Their all-in burst is not enough. Triple healer + Soul Link means nobody dies. After their opener fails, they have zero sustain. Free win.

  • Triple healer survives everything
  • Their opener fails
  • Zero sustain for them
  • Free win
  • Just don't panic
